Hi there, I'm glad you dropped by. I
am a musician and an archivist. Or an archivist and a musician;
I’m never sure which one to put first, because they’re
both very important to me and I put a good deal of time and work into both of
them.
My instruments are clarinet, bass
clarinet and tenor and baritone saxophones, and I consider myself
a jazz musician,
even though
I often play Jewish soul music as well. It’s all
improvisational to me.
As an archivist, my interests lie
in, of course, American music, and in serving the legacy
of musicians and producers, mainly
by preserving and describing their physical holdings and
facilitating research.
For more information on what I regard
as both sides of my one career, investigate Musician or Archivist.
